Description

Led by the truly talented Jorge Gonzalez, this class focuses on the Japanese art of Kumiko for those who wish to start making it themselves. Participants will learn the ways that pieces are cut and assembled to form beautifully intricate works of wood art. Kumiko can be intimidating at first glance but when you have set up your system and understand the concept, Kumiko becomes an art to explore and express your inner vision. The goal of this class is to get participants ready to make their own works by building the jigs and setup required to continue working at home.
