Description
This series of cement pots and vases by Greg Hoyte are an homage to his South American home of Guyana. There pots can be made in this traditional fashion of slowly layering cement over various linens to create texture. Pieces can hold dried flowers, decor, or have holes drilled to allow for plant potting.
This tall vase involved a process of draping woven linen over a form, then teasing out folds and texture as cement was drying. A final white wash gives it a beautiful aesthetic that matches well within a room.
