Description

This full day wood burning course will be taught by Ada Klute. Ada has been teaching for more than 15 years in both wood carving and wood burning. In this class, she will be taking participants through pyrography at a relaxed pace, going in-depth into shading and texturing techniques to create a variation of a big cat like those pictured here.

In this experience you will learn how to add depth to wood-burned pieces by layering shades, how to create different textures with both the method of burning and different pen tips, how to keep a consistent burn across wood grain, and more.

Since this is a full day class, participants will be able to work at a relaxed pace, taking breaks as you need. You will be able to ask questions as they arise and create a beautifully shaded portrait of a big cat.   And if you don’t finish during the class?  No worries!  Class participants can return to Grand Inspired to work independently on this project with our wood burning equipment.

You do not need to be an experienced wood burner to be a part of this class.
