Winter Light: Solstice String Concert

Stoughton Chamber Music Festival & Grand Inspired are elated to bring our annual solstice concert back for 2023. Join us to experience a truly memorable string quartet and an evening of warmth on the darkest night of the year. Whether you are looking for something to do around Madison this holiday season, are a string music lover planning a date night, or want to see the arts in Stoughton, this will be a special time.

On the evening of the December 21st solstice, Grand Inspired will be filled with sting music, light, art, and good cheer. The Stoughton Chamber Music Festival will be playing compositions by Micah Behr. Performed by Phil Bergmam – cello, Micah Behr – viola, Alex Norris – violin, Madlen Breckbill – violin, & Amanda Lauricella – soprano.

String music in the historic lofted ceilings of Grand Inspired is a true wonder to behold. Sound reverberates throughout the rafters of what was once a 1930’s Hudson Automobile dealership. Now newly restored, the bare cream city brick and wood art gallery make the perfect haven for art and music lovers. The gallery setting makes for an intimate group, where spectators are welcomed to open conversation with the performers, learning more about their intentions and musings.

All are welcome with a suggested donation at the door to support these musicians in their effort to bring music and beauty to the world. We hope to see you there. Please arrive early to ensure quiet during the performance.
