Wood & Resin End Table Workshop
Create a stunning end table that combines the natural beauty of wood with the modern elegance of resin in this hands-on workshop. Using a hollow wood cookie (a cross-section of a tree trunk) as the base, you’ll learn how to transform this organic piece into a functional and artistic table filled with a colorful, durable resin centerpiece.
- Session 1: Begin by preparing your wood cookie and designing your resin pour. Instructors will guide you through cleaning, sanding, and sealing the wood to ensure a smooth and long-lasting finish.
- Session 2: In the second choose from a variety of vibrant or subtle resin colors to pour into the hollow center, creating a unique design that complements the natural wood grain and your style! Learn essential resin techniques, including mixing, pouring, and curing. We’ll also work on the legs during this class. Choose from three leg options—hairpin legs for a modern vibe or a wood or metal trapezoid style for a classic feel. If you want to further customize your table, you can upgrade to other metal leg styles for an additional fee. Wooden legs will be made during this class so if you select metal legs, the class will be shorted for you.
- Session 3: Once the resin has cured, you’ll finish your table by sanding and polishing the surface for a sleek and professional look. Instructors will help you securely attach the legs, ensuring stability and durability.
By the end of the class, you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind end table that’s perfect for your home or as a thoughtful handmade gift. This workshop is open to all skill levels, and all materials and tools are provided. Let your creativity shine and create a piece that highlights the beauty of natural wood and resin artistry.
All materials and instruction included for $200.
