“Don’t ask me to make something square. I can’t do it”
Playful words from Beau Lasiewicz when discussing his work. Beau’s style has emerged from a sense of wonder – wonder toward the things that can be created from what has been.
Discover the harmonious blend of reclaimed and new materials at our upcoming show, “Amalgam: A Solo Furniture Exhibition” This unique exhibition showcases an extraordinary collection of furniture pieces that seamlessly combine the warmth and character of both reclaimed and new wood with the sleek strength of steel. Glimpses of vibrant color are set into every piece. Cracks or dents in the wood become vessels for personality.
Each creation is a testament to innovative design and masterful craftsmanship, highlighting the beauty of sustainable practices and contemporary aesthetics. From rustic charm to modern sophistication, these works of art transform everyday furniture into stunning statements. Join us to celebrate the artistry of functional design and the elegance of timeless materials, reimagined for today’s discerning tastes.
Beau and his wife, Kara (also an artist), live on a “reclaimed” farm in north-central Wisconsin. The barn serves as Beau’s workshop, inspiring the use of reclaimed barn beams and the aged wood you see lovingly brought back to life in his work.
This show is currently available in the Grand Inspired Gallery. An Artist’s reception will be held for Beau on Friday, July 26th from 5-8pm. Beau will provide a discussion of his work at 7pm
