Description
Create a beautiful, heirloom-quality cutting board that’s as functional as it is stunning! In this hands-on woodworking class, you’ll design and build your own striped hardwood cutting board using a curated selection of premium woods—think walnut, cherry, maple, ash, and other richly colored species. Mix and match contrasting tones to create striking patterns that reflect your personal style.
Under the guidance of our experienced instructors, you’ll learn the full process: selecting boards for color and grain, arranging your stripe pattern, safely using the jointer, planer, and table saw, gluing up your panel, sanding to a silky smooth finish, and applying a food-safe oil to make the colors come alive. You’ll walk away with new skills, confidence in the shop, and a gorgeous handmade cutting board you’ll be proud to use in your own kitchen or wrap up as a thoughtful, one-of-a-kind holiday gift.
Whether you’re brand-new to woodworking or looking to expand your skills, this class is a perfect introduction to working with hardwoods and shop tools in a safe, supportive environment.
Come create something beautiful—crafted by your hands, inspired by our community.
Sunday, December 14, 10am – 3pm with 1 hour lunch break.
