Description
This immersive woodworking experience will focus on building a cabinet in the style of legendary craftsman James Krenov. Krenov’s work is known for its graceful lines, subtle curves, and deep respect for the natural beauty of wood. His approach to cabinetmaking blends precision with poetry — and in this class, you’ll explore both.
Over the course of the class, students will design and a fresstanding cabinet inspired by Krenov’s timeless aesthetic. This class intended for woodworkers who are already comfortable using power equipment.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to select and orient wood to highlight natural grain and figure
- Mortise and tenon joinery for frames and doors
- Precise fitting of doors and knife hinges
- Hand tool techniques for fine details surfacing.
