Description

Inspired by the patterns of tree branches, this spirit shield by Jan Jahnke combines elegant round shapes with the distressed edges of the natural forms.  Pieces of a weathered shingle found along the Mississippi River add a horizontal element complimenting the wood burned stripes of the lower half.   Lake Michigan driftwood and a Wisconsin barn board add the finishing touches.
